2025 Commencement Ceremonies

Congratulations class of 2025! We are so proud of all of you and are pleased to welcome you to the Alumni Association. 

On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, UMass Boston hosted the doctoral hooding and graduate commencement for the class of 2025.
On Thursday, May 29, 2025, UMass Boston hosted the undergraduate commencement for the class of 2025.

Details of the upcoming Commencement Ceremonies for the UMass Boston class of 2026 are listed below. The class of 2026 is comprised of students graduating in Fall 2025, May 2026 and August 2026. Please check back as this page is updated frequently.

Graduate Commencement Ceremony

Wednesday, May 27, 2026

The graduate commencement ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Candidates for doctoral and master’s degrees, certificates of advanced graduate study (CAGS and EDS), and post-master’s certificates will be invited to participate in this program with the Chancellor, Deans and faculty.

*Doctoral candidates: please note that we are holding a separate ceremony for the doctoral hooding. You are encouraged to attend both the doctoral hooding ceremony and the graduate commencement ceremony. Additional details regarding the Doctoral Hooding will be posted here during the Fall 2025 Semester. 

Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony

Thursday, May 28, 2026

The undergraduate commencement ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026. Candidates for bachelor’s degrees will be invited to participate in this program with the Chancellor, Deans, and faculty.
